On December 13, Alipay launched the Commercial Insurance Code. This means that after patients pay their hospitalization fees using Medical Insurance, if they need to supplement, they can directly use the Commercial Insurance Code to apply for an advance payment for hospitalization costs and then initiate reimbursement claims with the Insurance companies later. Currently, users can search for 'Commercial Insurance Code' on Alipay to activate this service and can follow the prompts to apply for a medical expense limit. The first phase of the Commercial Insurance Code has covered the mainstream million Medical Insurance products under Taikang Online and ZA ONLINE, and more Insurance Institutions and types will be covered in the future.
