On December 13, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority released the main analytical accounts of the Forex Fund as of the end of November 2024. In November, the overseas assets of the Forex Fund increased by 30.8 billion HKD to 3506.4 billion HKD. The monetary base is 1950.1 billion HKD, which includes certificates of liabilities, coins and banknotes issued by the government, Bank system reserves, as well as issued Forex Fund bills and Bonds. The total claim of the Forex Fund on the Hong Kong private sector is 287.8 billion HKD. The total external liabilities amount to 28 billion HKD.
