A relevant person in charge of the Monetary Policy Department of the People's Bank of China indicated that the wording of next year's monetary policy orientation was changed from 'prudent' to 'appropriately relaxed', clarifying that more proactive macro policies will be implemented, highlighting the determination to drive economic recovery through policy. Zou Lan, the director of the Monetary Policy Department of the People's Bank of China, stated that implementing an appropriately relaxed monetary policy is also a manifestation of counter-cyclical adjustment.
