The president of Mitsubishi Electric Corp. in Japan, Uchiuchi, stated in an interview that the company is in talks with domestic competitors to collaborate on the development of power chips. Uchiuchi noted that although the management broadly supports cooperation, discussions have been stalled at the administrative level and no progress has been made. Uchiuchi pointed out that the power chip industry requires continuous technological innovation, and it is meaningful to collaborate while there are still opportunities to gain market share. 'We should not compete against each other, but instead unite together.'
