According to the China Iron and Steel Industry Association, on December 10th, the China Iron and Steel Industry Association held the "Iron Resource Development Plan" domestic iron ore resource development work seminar in Kunming, Yunnan, with Vice President Luo Tiejun and others attending the meeting. In his summary, Luo Tiejun stated that in recent years, relevant national ministries and commissions have actively promoted the construction of key domestic iron ore projects, and local governments have implemented relevant work requirements. With joint efforts from all parties, significant progress has been made in the development of domestic iron ore resources. However, there is still a large gap from the target requirements, and the difficulty of project approval and construction remains significant. Accelerating domestic iron ore resource development is a heavy task ahead. The newly revised Mineral Resources Law will be implemented starting July next year, and related work will gradually be enforced, which will help promote domestic iron ore resource exploration, development, and increase reserves and production. The Steel Association will study and organize the demands and suggestions raised by enterprises, timely reflect them to relevant ministries and commissions, and will further strengthen work efforts in areas such as iron ore pricing mechanisms and structural reforms on the supply side of the steel industry, taking multiple measures to actively improve the resource security capacity and level of the steel industry.
