Jean-Philippe Imparato, the head of Stellantis for the Europe region, stated on Thursday that Stellantis has decided to rejoin the European automotive lobbying group ACEA, which means that this Auto Manufacturer will immediately align with the recommendations of the group. Stellantis announced last week that it would rejoin ACEA, having exited the group at the beginning of 2023. Under the leadership of the recently resigned CEO Carlos Tavares earlier this month, the group had previously opposed ACEA's call for exemptions on the EU's intermediate carbon reduction targets for 2025, stating that this could lead to billions of dollars in losses for the Industry.
