According to reports, Cryptos are expected to be legalized in Ukraine by the first quarter of 2025, but tax exemptions are unlikely. Danylo Hetmantsev, chairman of the Ukrainian parliament's committee on finance, tax, and customs policy, stated: "Regarding Cryptos, the parliamentary working group is completing the first reading of a draft law. I believe the document drafted in cooperation with the national bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will be ready after the New Year. Our goal is to pass this law and legalize Cryptos by the first quarter of 2025." Hetmantsev mentioned that Cryptos will not be tax-exempt, and the tax structure will emulate securities, taxing profits when Assets are converted into currency. "We have taken a very cautious approach to tax exemptions for the use of Cryptos after consultations with European experts and the IMF, as this could exacerbate tax evasion in traditional markets," he said.
