It has been reported that Kwon Seong-dong, considered one of the earliest pro-Yoon faction lawmakers, has been elected as the new party whip of the People Power Party. Kwon Seong-dong also stated that he will quickly tackle the difficult situation facing the party and complete the preparations for the upcoming elections, after which he will resign. Regarding party leader Han Dong-hoon's proposal to support the impeachment, Kwon Seong-dong indicated that our party's position is still against impeachment and that a parliamentary meeting will be convened to seek consensus on whether adjustments will be made. Formerly a prosecutor, Kwon Seong-dong is a key figure in the pro-Yoon faction and has previously assisted President Yoon Suk-yeol in entering politics, winning the election, and served as the first party whip after the government was established.
