At the communication meeting before NIO Day 2024, NIO announced the latest construction progress of charging and battery swapping infrastructure layout. As of December 12, NIO has built 2,779 battery swap stations nationwide, of which 907 are located on highways. NIO plans to establish a national fast battery swap network of 9 vertical and 9 horizontal routes within the year, expecting to build over 900 highway battery swap stations, averaging one battery swap station every 200 kilometers of highway. This marks the completion of the highway battery swap network construction between major cities across the country, making NIO the first automaker in the country to complete the construction of power replenishment facilities covering the national highway trunk lines, allowing users to achieve direct fast battery swapping between major cities in the country.
