The United Kingdom banknote printing company De La Rue announced a 7.6% decline in half-year operating profit on Thursday, impacted by continued weakness in its MMF Business and a backlog of contracts this year. De La Rue has over 200 years of history and works with governments, central Banks, and commercial organizations in more than 140 countries. As customers increasingly favor Cash reserves and contactless payments, De La Rue is struggling to recover from the post-pandemic low demand for Cash. Although the company's Orders show signs of year-on-year growth, its sole revenue from the MMF sector fell by 16.3% in the first half of the year, with adjusted operating profit down by 21.4%.
