On December 9, the European Commission announced that, at the request of the European Sweet Corn Processors Association, it would launch an anti-dumping investigation into prepared or pickled sweet corn kernels originating from China, based on an application submitted on October 25, 2024. The period for this dumping investigation is from October 1, 2023, to September 30, 2024, while the injury investigation period is from January 1, 2021, until the end of the dumping investigation period. The preliminary ruling for this case is expected to be made within 7 months, and no longer than 8 months.
