The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, John Lee Ka-chiu, stated today (the 12th) that he and his team arrived in Peking yesterday and had a lunch with several leaders of the Hong Kong Business Association in Peking today to thank them for their support to the Hong Kong SAR Government. John Lee Ka-chiu pointed out that the business association has always been committed to promoting cooperation between Peking and Hong Kong in areas such as commerce, culture, youth, and innovation. This includes regularly co-hosting business seminars and Share sessions with the Beijing office, providing News on topics of concern to Hong Kong people and businesses, and working together with the SAR Government to bring continuous new business opportunities to Hong Kong, as well as to provide opportunities for youth from Hong Kong in Peking for inspections and internships, organizing various activities to unite Hong Kong youth in Peking. He is pleased that the business association plays a leading role in promoting complementary advantages and reciprocal resources between Peking and Hong Kong and hopes to continue strengthening cooperation to facilitate exchanges between the two places.
