The Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Development and Reform Commission has recently actively planned and reserved coal-to-power low-carbon transformation projects with a total investment of over 30 billion yuan, fully supporting and promoting the construction of under construction and proposed coal-to-power low-carbon transformation projects, continuously promoting the reduction of coal-to-power carbon emissions, and providing strong support for the active and steady advancement of peak carbon and Carbon Neutrality. According to dispatch statistics, there are a total of 30 coal-to-power low-carbon transformation projects in the region. In terms of project construction status, there are 5 completed projects, 4 projects under transformation, and 21 planned and reserved projects, with total investments of 6.187 billion yuan and 33.586 billion yuan respectively for the projects under transformation and the planned and reserved projects. In terms of project types, there are 12 biomass co-firing projects, 6 green ammonia co-firing projects, and 12 carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) projects, mainly concentrated in Inner Mongolia ERDOS Resources City, Xilin Gol League, Bayannur City, Hohhot City, Tongliao City, and Chifeng City.
