On December 10, Wang Hongzhi, the main responsible person of the National Energy Administration, met with Kazakhstan's Minister of Energy, Satkaliyev, in Beijing. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on cooperation in areas such as nuclear energy, Oil & Gas, Electrical Utilities, and Wind Power. Wang Hongzhi emphasized that the energy departments of both countries should implement the results of the leaders' meeting, further strengthen communication and exchange, guide and support enterprises to deepen practical cooperation, effectively execute existing Oil & Gas supply contracts, ensure the safe and stable operation of Oil & Gas pipelines, jointly implement New energy projects such as wind power and photovoltaics, and expand cooperation in nuclear energy and other fields. Satkaliyev expressed that cooperation in the energy sector between Kazakhstan and China is an important foundation for bilateral relations. The Kazakh side is willing to actively deepen cooperation in the two countries' Oil & Gas sector, welcomes Chinese enterprises to participate in the development of Kazakhstan's Electrical Utilities and New energy projects, and hopes to actively reference China's advanced experience in Nuclear Power and explore cooperation opportunities.
