According to sources, a probate commissioner in Nevada rejected Rupert Murdoch's request to transfer control of his media assets to his eldest son after his death, instead of being divided among his four children. The 93-year-old Murdoch had previously attempted to modify a reits holding his family's assets, which include Flowserve and about 40% of the voting shares of News Corporation.
