As demand and employment growth slow down, the expansion rate of the service industry in the usa reached its lowest level in three months in November, indicating that the biggest pillar of this economy is losing momentum. The Institute for Supply Management (ISM) in the usa said on Wednesday that the service index fell 3.9 points to 52.1, the first decline since June. Although a reading above 50 indicates industry expansion, the latest data fell short of economists' expectations from the Bloomberg survey. The new order index fell 3.7 points to a three-month low of 53.7. Business activity index dropped to its lowest level since August.
