According to the Nikkei website on December 4, the Japanese government has begun coordinating the relaxation of visa application conditions for Chinese citizens visiting Japan, with some procedures being simplified. The report stated that the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Justice, as well as the police department and other relevant ministries will hold discussions in the near future to finalize some new measures, including re-examining the documents required for visa applications. In addition, Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono is considering visiting China before the end of the year to discuss visa issues with the Chinese side. (Global Times)
