The latest forecast released by the OECD shows that by 2024, driven by the further decline in food, energy, and commodity price inflation, overall inflation in most countries continues to ease. However, service price inflation remains persistent, with a median of around 4% for OECD economies in September. Looking ahead, annual consumer price inflation in G20 countries is expected to further decrease, with almost all other major economies projected to return to target levels by the end of 2025 or early 2026.
