Recycling and utilization of renewable resources has always been one of the traditional main businesses of the supply and marketing cooperatives. At a special press conference held by the Ministry of Commerce today, a relevant person in charge of the All-China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives stated that against the background of the "two new" initiative, the standardized disassembly volume of waste household appliances in the cooperative system accounts for more than 30% of the whole society. The person in charge introduced that in recent years, the entire cooperative system has accelerated the improvement of the recycling and utilization network construction, promoting resource conservation and efficient utilization. Currently, the system has a total of 0.035 million recycling stations and more than 470 sorting centers, and has cultivated more than 870 wholly-owned leading enterprises in the industry. Ma Jihong, Minister of the Economic Development and Reform Department of the All-China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives, introduced that in the next step, the cooperatives will accelerate the advancement of the 815 Project, better playing the role of a strong force in recycling and utilization of renewable resources, leveraging the supporting role of the system's backbone enterprises, and serving the consumer products replacement action.
