On November 28, 2024, the Market Interest Rate Self-Regulation Mechanism Working Conference was held. The meeting was attended by 15 core members of the interest rate self-regulation mechanism, other national banks, and relevant officials from the interest rate self-regulation mechanism secretariat. The meeting elected Liu Jun, President of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, as the new Chairman of the Interest Rate Self-Regulation Mechanism. The meeting reviewed and approved the "Self-Regulatory Initiative on Optimizing Non-bank Interbank Deposit Interest Rate Self-Regulation Management" and the "Self-Regulatory Initiative on Introducing 'Interest Rate Adjustment Bottom Clause' in Deposit Service Agreements.
