At the Quantum Technology and Industry Conference for the year 2024 held on November 29, the 'China Telecom Quantum Technology and Industry Development 2030 Action Plan' was officially launched. The plan aims to achieve a target covering five major projects and ten tasks. Specifically, the target is to enhance the original innovation capability systematically, break through a batch of key quantum core technologies, build a globally leading quantum infrastructure, create leading quantum scenario applications, and by the end of the 15th Five-Year Plan, China Telecom will become a significant force in empowering national security with quantum technology. The five major projects include the Quantum Technology Innovation 'Source' Project, Quantum Infrastructure 'Foundation' Project, Quantum Industry Development 'Guidance' Project, Quantum Elite Talent 'Gathering Wisdom' Project, and Quantum Open Cooperation 'Aggregation' Project. The ten tasks include basic completion of the national coverage of integrated space-ground quantum communication network construction, empowering industrial development with comprehensive quantum security capabilities, and accelerating the commercialization process of quantum computing.
