The National Health Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Medical Insurance Administration, the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the National Health Commission, and the State Drug Administration issued the "Opinions on Reforming and Improving the Mechanism of Linkage Management of Grassroots Pharmaceuticals to Expand the Types of Grassroots Pharmaceuticals" today. Strengthen the construction of the grassroots pharmaceutical linkage management mechanism, expand the types of medications for chronic diseases and common diseases in grassroots medical and health institutions, and better meet the medication needs of the people. The "Opinions" propose four main measures to address the issue of medication at the grassroots level, namely, standardizing and optimizing the types of medications at the grassroots level, and the mechanisms of linkage deployment and use, centralized supply and distribution, and shortage warning and disposal.
