The State Council's Leading Group for Employment Promotion and Labor Protection held a video conference on mobilizing and deploying winter actions to control wage arrears today. The conference summarized preliminary work, analyzed and judged the situation, and deployed work to manage wage arrears at the end of the year and the beginning of the New Year. The conference emphasized the need to resolutely shoulder the political responsibility of managing wage arrears, and to tackle the problem of wage arrears as an extremely important livelihood task. The meeting demanded that winter actions to control wage arrears should be carried out in a solid manner, pay close attention to the implementation of responsibilities, concentrate on collaborative efforts, clear channels for rights protection, carry out investigation of hidden hazards, highlight key rectification, classification policies, and focus efforts, strictly and pragmatically correct all kinds of wage arrears in accordance with the law, and make every effort to guarantee the wage and compensation rights of migrant workers and maintain overall social stability.
