Nantong Haixing Electronics announced that the board of directors recently received the resignation report from independent director Gu Weiping, who applied to resign from the positions of independent director, member of the remuneration and assessment committee, and member of the nomination committee for personal reasons. After resigning, Gu Weiping will no longer hold any position in the company. Due to Gu Weiping's resignation, the number of independent directors in the company is less than one-third of the board of directors. According to relevant regulations, Gu Weiping's resignation will take effect after a new independent director is elected at the shareholders' meeting. Until the new independent director takes office, Gu Weiping will continue to perform the responsibilities of independent director and member of the board's special committees in accordance with the law, regulations, and the company's articles of association. The company will complete the supplementary election of the new independent director and the special committees as soon as possible in accordance with relevant regulations.
