On November 14, good news came from Sichuan Yahua Industrial Group's Zimbabwe KMC company, as the second phase of the Kamativi lithium project has been fully launched. Kamativi is Sichuan Yahua Industrial Group's first large-scale lithium mining project in Africa, with exploration of mineral resources and optional trial research starting in September 2022. The first and second phases of the Kamativi project will achieve an annual processing capacity of 2.3 million tons of lithium ore and an annual output of 0.35 million tons of lithium concentrate. At the same time, Sichuan Yahua Industrial Group will continue to expand the scale of lithium concentrate mining, with an expected annual processing capacity reaching 3.3 million tons of lithium ore by 2025, yielding nearly 0.5 million tons of lithium concentrate, at which time the self-sufficiency rate of Sichuan Yahua Industrial Group in lithium concentrate will reach 60%.
