Bluesky announced on Thursday that approximately 2.5 million new users joined in the past week, bringing the total number of users to over 16 million. According to data from the analytics firm SimilarWeb, after the news of Trump's presidential win broke, X saw 46.5 million visits in the usa on November 6, the highest of any day in the past year and 38% higher than the daily average in recent months. However, over 0.115 million users in the usa deactivated their X accounts, the highest number since Musk acquired the platform. Meanwhile, Bluesky attracted about 1.2 million visitors on November 6, surpassing Meta's platform Threads, which had 0.95 million.
