At the 2024 China Automotive Software Conference hosted by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (referred to as "China Auto Association"), the association officially released the "Automobile Privacy Protection" label. Tesla became the first batch of vehicle companies to pass the evaluation and obtain the label authorization. In April of this year, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers and the National Computer Network Emergency Technology Coordination Center issued a notice on the detection of four security requirements for automobile data processing (first batch). The notice showed that a total of 76 vehicle models from 6 companies, including Tesla, met the 4 compliance requirements for automobile data security. Tesla is the only foreign-funded enterprise that meets compliance requirements. This means that Tesla's models produced at the Shanghai Gigafactory comply with national standards, including anonymized processing of external facial information, default non-collection of cabin data, in-cabin data processing, and significant notification of processing personal information compliance requirements.
