CNOOC official WeChat news, on November 6, CNOOC announced that the Long Lake Northwest project in Canada has been safely put into operation. The project is located in Alberta, Canada, with main production facilities including a new ground well pad and 4 pipelines. The project utilizes Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) production method, deploying 8 pairs of production wells, with an expected peak crude oil production of 8,200 barrels per day by 2025. A wholly-owned subsidiary of CNOOC holds 100% equity of the Long Lake Northwest project and acts as the operator.
