BlackRock's Asia-Pacific Sustainable and Transformational Solutions Head Emily Woodland stated at the 2024 Shanghai Stock Exchange International Investors Conference that BlackRock considers transformational investments as one of the key forces that can reshape the future decades. Investors' demand for transformational investments is gradually increasing. The 2023 global transformational investment survey showed that more than half (56%) of institutional investors plan to increase their allocation to transformational strategies in the next 1-3 years. They aim to achieve this goal through robust research and analytics, as well as holistic portfolio solutions, including sustainable replacement of core assets, active thematic investments, and private equity solutions focusing on emerging market infrastructure. In addition, mixed financing in the Asia-Pacific region has enormous potential, as hybrid financing can effectively leverage catalytic capital to reduce risks and attract previously unavailable private capital, thereby channeling capital inflow into emerging market infrastructure projects.
