The 33rd chairperson meeting of the 14th National People's Congress Standing Committee was held in the afternoon of the 6th in the Great Hall of the People in Peking. Chairperson **** presided over the meeting. The meeting listened to the report by the Director of the National People's Congress Constitution and Law Committee, Xie Chunying, regarding the proposed amendments to the Preschool Education Law, the proposed amendments to the Cultural Relics Protection Law, the proposed amendments to the Mineral Resources Law, the proposed amendments to the Energy Law, the proposed amendments to the Anti-Money Laundering Law, the proposed amendments to the decision on amending the Supervisory Law of People's Congress Standing Committees at all levels, the report on the decision on temporarily adjusting the application of metrology laws in pilot cities with innovative business environments, and deliberated on related draft amendments and decision drafts. The meeting also listened to the report by Xuhong Cai, Vice Chairman of the National People's Congress Financial and Economic Committee and Director of the Budget Work Committee of the National People's Congress Standing Committee, on the deliberation of the proposal submitted by the State Council regarding increasing the debt limit for local governments to replace existing implicit debts, and deliberated on the resolution draft authorizing the approval of the said proposal.
