Gong Hongli, Chief Human Resources Officer and Senior Vice President of Dingdong, stepped down from the position of Chief Human Resources Officer. Human resources-related matters will be handled by Zheng Guizhou, Vice President of Dingdong, while Gong Hongli will now be responsible for Dingdong's Oulei business. Some insiders speculate that this executive adjustment may be related to the recent sudden death of a warehouse manager at Dingdong's Beijing store. According to media reports, the warehouse manager had signed a labor agreement with a third-party company and had worked night shifts for up to 12 hours multiple times. Subsequently, Dingdong responded, "The company has also set up a special team to actively promote communication, care, and follow-up work with the family members of employees together with the third-party company they belong to" (Sina Technology).
