According to the Financial Times supervised by the People's Bank of China, compared to last year, the mid-term dividends of listed banks in 2024 present a more widespread and frequent characteristic, with the higher dividend ratio and amount being a common focus of the market this year. The report cited incomplete statistics from Wind, stating that as of now, there are about 19 listed banks that have announced mid-term dividend plans, with a total proposed dividend (including dividends already paid) exceeding 250 billion yuan, and an average dividend rate of about 28%. Ye Yindan, a researcher at the China Banking Institute, stated that many listed banks are implementing mid-term dividends to meet regulatory requirements and further attract capital.
