Meta and thomson reuters, the parent company of Reuters, did not disclose the financial details of the partnership. This arrangement will be Reuters' first news trade in many years. Following criticism from regulatory institutions and publishers over misinformation and disagreements over revenue sharing, Meta's parent company Facebook has been reducing news content in its services. The company's chatbot, Meta AI, can be used on services such as Facebook, Whatsapp, and Instagram.
