According to the news from China National Chemical Engineering Science and Technology, recently, China National Chemical Engineering Science and Technology's subsidiary, Inner Mongolia New Materials Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Inner Mongolia New Materials"), successfully completed the full process of a one-time 0.3 million tons/year coal-to-ethylene glycol project, and produced polyester-grade ethylene glycol products. Inner Mongolia New Materials was jointly established by China National Chemical Engineering Science and Technology's East China Engineering Science and Technology and Yulin Chemical, with East China Engineering Science and Technology holding a controlling stake of 60%. The total investment in Inner Mongolia New Materials' coal-to-ethylene glycol project is 6.41 billion yuan, and the project uses lignite as raw material, employing international advanced processes such as dry coal powder pressurized gasification, syngas purification, ethylene glycol synthesis, and product distillation to produce ethylene glycol. It is expected to have an annual output value of over 1.5 billion yuan after production.
