The National Bureau of Statistics released data showing that from January to September, the national real estate development investment was 7,868 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 10.1%. Among them, residential investment was 5,970.1 billion yuan, down 10.5%. From January to September, the construction area of residential construction enterprises was 7,159.68 million square meters, a year-on-year decrease of 12.2%. Among them, the construction area of residential construction was 5,010.51 million square meters, down 12.7%. The new construction area of buildings was 560.51 million square meters, down 22.2%. Among them, the new construction area of residential buildings was 407.45 million square meters, down 22.4%. The completed construction area of buildings was 368.16 million square meters, down 24.4%. Among them, the completed construction area of residences was 268.71 million square meters, down 23.9%. From January to September, the sales area of newly built commercial residences was 702.84 million square meters, a year-on-year decrease of 17.1%, with a 19.2% decrease in residential sales area. The sales amount of newly built commercial residences was 6,888 billion yuan, down 22.7%, with a 24.0% decrease in residential sales amount.
