According to BP China's official WeChat account, on October 7th, BP achieved the first LNG delivery to Zhejiang Energy through the Wenzhou receiving station. This marks the landing of BP's natural gas value chain spanning upstream natural gas resources and downstream markets in the Chinese market, following the South China region. In 2023, BP officially signed a joint operation contract with Zhejiang Energy Group's natural gas group and its holding subsidiaries, establishing Zhejiang Inergy Liquefied Natural Gas Co., Ltd., referred to as Inergy, to sell LNG through tanker transportation. In July of this year, the first LNG tanker from Inergy was officially dispatched.
