Standard Chartered's North Asia Regional Chief Investment Officer Zheng Zifeng stated that since China announced measures including interest rate cuts, support for the property market, and stock market stabilization on September 24, the Heng Seng Index has surged by over 20%. Currently, valuations are still reasonable and investor holdings are still low. The bank maintains a cautious optimistic view on recent momentum. In Standard Chartered's global market outlook for the second half of June, the optimistic scenario for the Heng Seng Index was 20,000 to 22,000 points. Due to stimulus measures exceeding expectations, the bank has updated the basic scenario range to 20,000-22,500 points. Zheng Zifeng further stated that the sustainability of the upward trend will depend on the timely and effective implementation of major fiscal policies and debt support measures, whether deflation pressures will diminish, confidence restoration, and reduction of geopolitical risks.
