More and more Chinese people are choosing to travel to Europe and other popular distant destinations during the Golden Week period, marking the strongest sign of travel rebound. According to Qunar and Ctrip, the volume of overseas flights and hotel bookings during last year's Golden Week has significantly increased, with international flight bookings doubling and Europe showing the fastest growth. According to alibaba's travel service platform Fliggy, overseas car rental bookings have surged by over 150% compared to 2023, while cruise commodity bookings have increased sixfold. Popular Asian travel destinations from Japan to Malaysia are also favored during the week-long holiday starting on October 1st, with some of the fastest-growing destinations being Belgium, Croatia, the Nordic countries, and the UAE.
