The State Administration for Market Regulation announced on September 29th that Guangzhou Auto Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. and FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. have filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the "Regulations on the Management of Defective Automobile Product Recalls" and the "Implementation Measures for the Regulations on the Management of Defective Automobile Product Recalls". The recall will begin on September 29, 2024. Guangzhou Auto Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. will recall a total of 72,828 RAV4 Prime vehicles produced between July 19, 2023, and September 7, 2024. FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. will recall a total of 59,296 Corolla Cross Prime vehicles produced between July 3, 2023, and September 9, 2024. Vehicles within the scope of this recall have an imperfect brake actuator control computer program. During steering, the brake actuator may not properly adjust the brake fluid pressure when braking. In extreme cases, this may briefly prevent the vehicle from providing braking force as intended by the driver, resulting in longer braking distances than expected by the driver, increasing the risk of collisions and posing a safety hazard.
