Recently, Intel has issued a final statement regarding the instability issue of the 13th/14th generation Core i7, summarizing and analyzing the root causes. It mentioned that the problem has been attributed to the clock tree circuit inside the IA core, which is susceptible to reliability aging effects under increased voltage and temperature, resulting in clock duty cycle offsets and system instability. MSI announced the release of a new version of BIOS for the 13th/14th generation Core i7 desktop processors, built on microcode 0x12B to enhance system stability. The initial version of BIOS for the 700 series main boards has already been released, with additional models to follow later.
