Announcement from Shenzhen Energy Group, the company's controlling subsidiary Shenzhen Ma Wan Power Limited Company has received the "Approval of Shenzhen Development and Reform Commission for the approval of the Ma Wan Power Plant upgrade and transformation coal-fired eco-friendly substitution Phase I project". According to the approval, the construction of the Ma Wan Power Plant upgrade and transformation coal-fired eco-friendly substitution Phase I project is approved, with a total investment of 6.451 billion yuan, of which the project's capital is 1.334 billion yuan. The project will be located inside the Ma Wan Power Plant on Ma Wan Avenue in Nanshan District, Shenzhen, with the main construction content being the construction of 2×660MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired generators, and the construction of facilities for flue gas desulfurization, dust removal, and denitrification. The approval of the project will help optimize the company's energy structure, improve energy utilization efficiency, reduce operating costs, and further decrease carbon emissions. However, the company still needs to go through the corresponding decision-making procedures for investing and constructing this project, and there is uncertainty regarding the future progress of the project.
