The Swiss National Bank lowered its benchmark interest rate consecutively for the third time at the meeting on Thursday, due to pressure on the Swiss Franc and a downward trend in inflation. The Swiss National Bank will cut interest rates again at the quarterly meetings in December and March. Central banks of other major trading partners have already begun to ease monetary policies, and the Swiss National Bank cannot ignore this. The Swiss National Bank will have to cooperate with most interest rate cuts to resist the strengthening of the Swiss Franc and deflationary pressures.
