According to a report released by market analysis firm Omdia on Wednesday, South Korean chip manufacturer SK Hynix is expected to achieve record sales of $12.8 billion in the third quarter, surpassing Intel as the world's third largest chip manufacturer. Nvidia is expected to maintain its top position with quarterly sales of $28.1 billion, while Samsung Electronics is expected to rank second with record quarterly sales of $21.7 billion.
