Hong Kong stocks opened low and moved higher on Tuesday, with the Hang Seng Index up 1.44% to 17,672.91 points, the Hang Seng Tech Index up 1.24% to 3,540.96 points, the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index up 1.44% to 6,177.86 points, and the Hang Seng China Affiliated Corporations Index up 1.1% to 3,374.7 points. The trading volume in the market reached 34.945 billion Hong Kong dollars in the first half of the day. China mainland banking stocks, insurance stocks, and China-affiliated brokerage stocks all rose, with many individual stocks seeing gains of more than 2%. Among the blue-chip sectors, Wharf REIC rose over 5%, Li Auto Inc. and CK Asset both rose more than 4%. Most popular technology stocks rose, with JD Health up 3.3%, GDS Holdings up 3.3%, Ali Health up 2.9%, and Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation up 2.1%.
