A video circulating online shows a Xiaomi SU7 emitting smoke in an accident. Xiaomi Automobile responded that at around 10:03 am on September 16th, a Xiaomi SU7 was involved in a traffic accident near Nanjing South Station. The preliminary analysis of the accident is as follows: Xiaomi Automobile cooperated with the traffic police, fire department, and insurance to conduct an on-site investigation of the accident scene. Based on vehicle data analysis, it is preliminarily confirmed that the accident was caused by the vehicle skidding on the wet road surface and improper driver operation, resulting in the vehicle veering off the lane and crashing into the flower bed area. The front bumper and undercarriage of the vehicle collided with the surrounding continuous square stones (approximately 28cm * 30cm * 50cm), causing severe damage to the bottom of the battery. It is suspected that the battery suffered a partial short circuit due to the impact, resulting in temporary smoke and open flames, and pressure release downwards. After the accident, the fire department promptly intervened and dealt with the situation, and the vehicle risk has been eliminated and transferred to a safe zone.
