Panasonic Holdings announced on September 10 that it will terminate its top-level sponsorship agreement for the Olympics and Paralympics after the Paris Olympics. Panasonic has reached an agreement with the International Olympic Committee to not extend its cooperation beyond the end of the current contract period in December. Panasonic became the global official partner of the Olympics in 1987 and expanded to the Paralympics in 2014.
