Legend Biotech announced that their independently developed cell therapy product Cawodi (generic name: sildenafil citrate injection) has received the approval for market by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA). It is used for the treatment of relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma in adult patients who have previously received at least third-line therapy (at least one proteasome inhibitor and immunomodulatory agent). Cawodi became the first variety to be included in the breakthrough therapy drug program by the Center for Drug Evaluation (CDE) of the NMPA in August 2020.
