On July 25th, the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services issued Public Notice No. 34 of 2024, announcing the initiation of a second anti-dumping sunset review investigation on round welded austenitic stainless steel pipes originating in China, in response to the application submitted by Brazilian company Aperam Inox Tubos Brasil Ltda. The outside diameter of the involved products ranges from 6 millimeters or 1/4 inch (inclusive) to 2032 millimeters or 80 inches (inclusive), with a thickness of 0.40 millimeters (inclusive) to 12.70 millimeters (inclusive), and the tax numbers for the cities of Nan Gong are 7306.40.00 and 7306.90.20. The anti-dumping investigation period is from October 2022 to September 2023 and the injury investigation period is from October 2018 to September 2023. The existing anti-dumping duties remain in effect during the investigation. The final ruling of the sunset review is expected to be made within 10 months from the date of filing, with a maximum extension of 2 months. The announcement takes effect from the date of publication.
