Yu Weining, the statistician of the Industrial Department of the National Bureau of Statistics, interpreted the profit data of industrial enterprises and said that the equipment manufacturing industry has strongly supported the growth of industrial profits. With the acceleration of the high-end, intelligent and green development of manufacturing industry, the vitality of equipment manufacturing industry has been continuously enhanced, which has strongly supported the growth of industrial profits of large-scale enterprises. In the first half of this year, the profit of the equipment manufacturing industry increased by 6.6% year on year, which drove the profit growth of large-scale enterprises by 2.2 percentage points and contributed more than 60% to the profit growth of large-scale enterprises. The proportion of profit of equipment manufacturing industry in large-scale enterprises is 35.0%, up 1.0 percentage point year on year, and this proportion has continued to rise since this year. The industry structure of large-scale enterprise profits has been continuously improved. Specifically, high-tech products such as smart phones, integrated circuits, and new energy vehicles have grown rapidly in production and sales, driving profit growth in the electronics and automotive industries by 24.0% and 10.7% respectively. The competitiveness of the ship-building industry has been enhanced, and the rapid growth of orders has driven the profit growth of the transportation equipment industry such as railroads, ships, aviation and aerospace by 36.0%.
