Yu Weining, chief statistician of the Industrial Department of the National Bureau of Statistics, interpreted the profit data of industrial enterprises: the profit growth rate of industrial enterprises has accelerated. In the first half of the year, the profits of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 3.5% year-on-year, an increase of 0.1 percentage points faster than that of January to May. Among them, the profit of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 3.6% in June, an increase of 2.9 percentage points faster than that of May. Looking at different industries, out of the 41 major industries, 32 industries had a year-on-year increase in profit in the first half of the year, with a growth rate of 78.0%, which was the same as that of January to May. Overall, the benefits of industrial enterprises above designated size in the first half of the year have recovered steadily. At the same time, it should be noted that the insufficient domestic effective demand restricts the sustained improvement of enterprise efficiency, and the severe and complex international environment increases the operating pressure of industrial enterprises. The foundation of the recovery of industrial enterprise benefits still needs to be consolidated. In the next stage, we must resolutely implement the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the Twentieth Central Committee of the Party, actively expand domestic demand, smooth the circulation of the national economy, develop new productive forces according to local conditions, shape new development momentum and new advantages, and continuously promote high-quality development of the industrial economy.
